To equip and align our movement, EFCA leaders—across contexts, generations, genders and ethnicities—must be grounded in our common convictions as autonomous yet interdependent churches. What we believe and teach matters for the health and vitality of the EFCA and the communities we are called to serve.

Yet, theological training is out of reach for many leaders within EFCA churches. For others, misconceptions and fears serve as additional barriers that keep potential ministry leaders from pursuing their calling.

EFCA GATEWAY fills the gap by providing low-cost, flexible and accessible courses that train leaders in the EFCA Statement of Faith and our mission to glorify God by multiplying transformational churches among all people. These core aspects of the EFCA’s identity keep churches focused on our unity in the gospel.

“In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, charity. In all things, Jesus Christ."

Equipped with these essentials, GATEWAY graduates use their God-given spiritual gifts of leadership, teaching, evangelism, shepherding and serving to make disciples and multiply transformational churches, together.

As a participant, you will benefit from the guidance of experienced facilitators and the perspectives of your peers. In the process, you will gain a network of brothers and sisters who share in your passion for the gospel and deeper appreciation for your home in the EFCA.
